The Bio-Shelter - Wednesday 3rd March

We were due to leave Waiheke about 3 days ago but kept on buying more nights at the house. Our luck ran out as we couldnt get any more nights at the house and it was looking like we were having to go back to Auckland. Somehow though whilst on the phone to Ivan we managed to book ourselves into his Bio-Shelter!
The place was stunning, in a wierd way though. It was 5 floors high but not in a convential way. You walked in the main door straight into the kitchen, dining area with a chillout area to the right. Infront of us were the bath, shower and toilets all covered by linens and stuff. To left down a couple of stairs was the conversatory with hammock and couches to lay on. Behind the coach was a couple of stairs to the toilet and bath which completed a loop around the shelter. Down the stairs to left of the toilet and shower were 2 rooms. Behind the chillout area was the stairs upto 3/4 more rooms and a toilet (i say 3/4 because there was a bed on the landing and 2 cool rooms which came out of nowhere. upstairs was another 2 beds and upstairs again was the cave bed which as you can imagine didnt have alot of room. Me and Sammi unfortunately were stuck with the bed on the landing which didnt offer much privacy. We had to be careful with the water and power we used as the place was run on rainwater, solar power and wind power. It was quite a hippy house to be honest.
We spent the day again down on Oneroa Beach and just walked around the surrounding area. That night we went down to the bay for something to eat and a couple of drinks. It was a full moon so the walk back late that night was really peaceful and nice.
